Directions Training Provides $125,000 in Scholarships for 2013 Fifty for the Future® Awardees and their Faculty Sponsors

Entering its 7th year, the Annual Foundation Fifty for the Future® Competition and Awards program recognizes exceptional students with an interest in and potential to use technology in innovative ways. Fifty for the Future® provides encouragement and recognition to students who pursue innovation through technology, providing access to business leaders to showcase their talent. Winners are chosen through a rigorous nomination and judging process, focused on high school through university and graduate-level programs.  The celebration is attended by industry leaders, judges, winners and their families, and other supporters of the technology industry.

The Illinois Technology Foundation is pleased to announce that Directions Training will provide each Fifty for the Future® awardee a $1,000 scholarship and a separate $1,000 scholarship to his or her faculty sponsor. Recipients of the award will be able to apply the scholarship to Directions Training’s extensive catalog of IT course offerings.

“We are pleased to be part of the 2013 Fifty for the Future® celebration,” says Jennifer Didier, president of Directions Training. “The program has a long history of identifying top student talent in the Illinois market and we are excited to reward students and faculty involved in the program.”

“We are most grateful to Directions Training for this generous gift to the Illinois information technology community,” says William R. Waas, chairman of the Illinois Technology Foundation. “Not only does it recognize Fifty for the Future® awardees, it also recognizes our hardworking and dedicated academic community.”
