In their ongoing initiative to expose technology candidates and professionals with disabilities leading edge concepts and applications in the IT field, ITKAN – an affiliate program of the Illinois Technology Foundation which is dedicated to gaining and sharing knowledge, network and opportunity for its members – explored Big Data and its application to a universal challenge; the impact of environmental factors like wind and weather patterns on air travel delays throughout the nation.
Throughout 2013 ITKAN has been exploring 4 Megatrends in IT, Mobile Technology, Social Media, Big Data and, during the 4th quarter Cloud Computing. Thanks to our gracious host Adam Hecktman and everyone at the MTC Chicago and the Aon Tower , from the front desk staff to security personnel to our “evangelist” facilitators.
