ITF and Moraine Valley Community College Team to Present Career Seminar
Branding and Networking – to stand apart.
On April 18, the Illinois Technology Foundation (ITF), in partnership with Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC), presented a technology career seminar to MVCC students titled, “Building a Network and Personal Brand: Keys to Landing a Job and Ongoing Career Success.” The seminar was an interactive discussion between students and volunteer IT industry leaders exploring practical ways students can successfully differentiate themselves from their peers, land their first IT job, and build a successful career.
We’d especially like to thank our keynote speaker, David Anteliz of Maron Technologies, for sharing his personal examples of how branding and networking has shaped his successful career. We also appreciate the supportive MVCC faculty and staff for all their collaboration facilitating the event.
Finally, the ITF thanks our volunteer leaders for sharing their time and experiences with the students: Jack Leifel (ITF Board of Directors, MVCC), Andre Allen (ITF Board of Directors, General Dynamics), Alan Howard (ITF Board of Directors, Maron Technologies), Ed Hoff (ITF President, Christian Brothers) and Wayne Bulmahn (ITF Board of Directors, Acxiom Corporation).
