Careers in Technology

The Illinois Technology Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the development of the technology talent pipeline in the State of Illinois.

Early Introduction and Access to Technology

We work with K-12 students in the Chicagoland area to provide an early introduction to technology and career routes. Initiatives include:

  • Donation of Learning Tools: facilitated the donation of over 1,000 pieces of equipment to CPS schools in 2009.
  • Awareness of Opportunities: presented to middle school students through a series of seminars with high school graduation options in technology, including certification in technology, specialty programs, and universities. To date, Foundation has presented to over 5,000 students.
  • Communication between High School and University Programs:  facilitated DeVry and CPS relationship ensuring the joint enrollment program receives full scholarship awards.
  • Scholarship Program: created scholarship programs with Proviso Township in 2009.  More to come about our scholarship programs.
